Exploring links with Japan
On Monday, 16th July 2018, the Centre for the Study of Philanthropy & Public Good welcomed a Japanese delegation headed by Professor Toshihiko Ishihara, Professor of Public Management at the Institute of Business and Accounting at Kwansei Gakuin University and President of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accounting (CIPFA) Japan. The visit focused on discussing the roles, experiences, challenges and opportunities associated with philanthropy and philanthrocapitalism in the delivery and design of public services, as well as exploring ways for strengthening links and research collaborations between the Centre and Japanese colleagues working in the field.
