CSPPG at the 16th International Conference of the International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR)
From 14th-19th July 2024, members of CSPPG were strongly involved in the 16th International Conference of the International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR). This year, the conference focused on the theme of “Crisis After Crisis After …: What About the Third Sector?”, and took place at the University of Antwerp.
Alongside contributing to the Meeting of Research Center Directors, led by the Rockefeller Archive Center (RAC) and the International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR), the 8th International PhD Seminar, and activities of the European Research Network on Philanthropy (ERNOP), centre members presented a number of research papers. These included:
- Beyond Philanthrocapitalism: Experiments in Value-based Giving from an Indian Philanthropic Foundation, by Bhakti Patil
- ‘It’s a bear pit’: Exploring how UK-based grassroots charities experience the cost-of-living crisis, by Janis Petzinger, Tobias Jung, and Caroline Broadhurst
- Just Philanthropy? Towards a pragmatic and accountable integrative framework for justice philanthropy, by Tobias Jung
The abstract for each of these papers can be read via the open access part of the online conference portal at https://convention2.allacademic.com/one/istr/istr24/
